A teleprompter for Zoom calls and webcam presentations

Reading a script on a video call usually means looking down at notes or sideways at a second monitor, and it shows. Atrio does not plug into Zoom itself. Instead, you prop your iPhone next to your webcam as a teleprompter for Zoom, keeping the script close to the lens so you can read without looking away.

The problemFollowing

Why reading on a call looks different from reading notes

Using a teleprompter for Zoom solves a common webcam problem: the camera shows exactly where your eyes point. When you glance down at paper notes or over at a second monitor, everyone on the call sees you look away. During a presentation or a scripted talk, that breaks eye contact.

A teleprompter fixes this by placing the script right next to the camera's lens. You read your lines and look toward the camera at the same time.

Using Atrio next to your webcamStandby

Setting up Atrio next to a laptop webcam

Atrio runs on the iPhone (iOS 26 or later), not on your laptop. For a Zoom or Teams call on your computer, you use two devices: your laptop runs the call, and your iPhone runs Atrio on a stand right above or beside the laptop's camera.

Open your .txt or .md script in Atrio and choose voice follow or autoplay. You read from the iPhone screen while the call software uses your laptop webcam and microphone as usual. Autoplay and manual scroll are free. Voice follow is free for your first 3 sessions, then a one-time $14.99 in-app purchase unlocks it for life. No subscription. No ads. No account.

If you'd rather not add a second device

Our free online teleprompter runs in a browser tab. Paste your script, set the scroll speed, and place the window next to your call on the same laptop screen. Nothing is uploaded, and you do not need an account.

If you want a script that moves with your voice and waits when you pause, read how that works on our voice-activated teleprompter page.

Questions about using a teleprompter on a video call

Can I use Atrio during a Zoom call?
Yes, as a second screen. Atrio runs on your iPhone, not inside Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet. Prop the iPhone just above or beside your laptop's webcam, and read from Atrio while your eyes stay close to the lens.
Does Atrio integrate directly with Zoom or other call software?
No. Atrio does not connect to any video call app. It is a standalone iPhone teleprompter you position near your webcam. The call software on your computer never knows it is there.
What if I don't want to use a second device?
Use our free online teleprompter in a browser window next to your call window instead. It runs on the same laptop, needs no account, and lets you adjust the scroll speed and font size.
How close should the script be to the camera to keep eye contact?
Put the iPhone as close to the lens as your stand allows. On a laptop, place it right above or beside the webcam. The closer the text sits to the lens, the less your eyes move on camera.
Does voice follow still work if the conversation interrupts my script?
Yes. Voice follow moves the script only when your speech matches the next words. If you stop to answer a question or go off-script, the current line waits. When you start reading the script again, it picks up where you left off.
